Hello, new DP owner here...... The last time I started up my motor was two days ago and I went out this afternoon to check fluid levels for this weeks trip...... The radiator felt as if heat was coming from the top of it and after I got under the engine, the motor was warm to the touch. No one has been in it since ssaturday, does the motor have some sort of heater? I have looked over every switch and none of them have anythign to do with something like this. There is one large switch under the foot of the bed but it isnt labeled and nothing happens that I know of when I flip it the opposite way. Any ideas?

Howdy fellow Tiffin owner! I have a gas puller but many friends with DPs and no one has ever had a block heater that ran off of the coach batteries. Did you check the level of charge? Are you plugged in all the time in storage? Sounds like someone took it for a joy ride!

If your coach was plugged into 120 volt then your block heater was probably on this whole time. That switch at the base of the bed is for the block heater. Mine has a red light on it to show it is turned on.

Sandcar is correct. If your block is warm, the block heater is working.

My engine heater switch is on the wall with the other monitor lights and water heater switches but it has no light to tell when it's on, just the the lettering saying "ON/Off". Some say their's has a 110V plug-in somewhere in the power compartment so you might look there to see if it needs to be unplugged.

I have a 2002 Phaeton and yes the switch at the end of the bed is for the engine heater. If you lift up the bed there should be an outlet under there. The switch runs that outlet and the cord plugged in runs through the floor to a block heater.
