My initial post on possibly replacing the "Fuel Pressure Regular" because the check valve "might be leaking") was based on some info about the cost of this valve being around $40.

However looking at the CAT parts page and using OPs engine serial number, the actual price is around $250.

So replacing that part on a hunch is not such a good idea anymore. If this continues to be a problem, hooking up a fuel pressure gauge would be the next step.
