Boost gauge hookup on 3126

Where's the easiest place to tap into the intake manifold on my engine for a boost gauge? Not seeing any open ports. Thinking of welding a bung into the boost tube right at the engine.

Second attempt at importing a picture of the intake on my 3126B.
I believe the two Allen head plugs go into the intake , does yours look the same ?
Sorry I couldn't get a pointer to stick to the picture.

Yes I have those two Allen head plugs. Wasn't sure the thread is something I can adapt to 1/8" npt.

If you can't match the threads, you could , drill through the Allen recess, weld a nut on the top, and adapt to the nut.
Easier to weld to the steel plug on the bench than to the aluminum charge air tube.

I think there is a line in a rock & roll song for every situation in life.

For this I'll go with " Dr. Hook ", " It's not that I'm older , it's just that I've spent more time with my back to the wall."

P.S. Can I borrow your welder, I'll have it back tomorrow .. honest.

I'm sure the local hydraulic store sells a fitting or fittings to get me to the same place but I already had these parts laying around and the welder was handy so this was easy and quick. You're welcome to borrow the welder anytime.

First make sure you clean the area where the plug is so no grim or dirt gets into
the intake, second it takes two fittings but make sure you do not use a 90 degree
as the intake is at a slant and they hit the head and proven install.
I took the plug out and at my house of hose store they sold me both fittings and
5 ft of hose for a total price including tax $7.35

Well, I see max. boost is 25psi. Gonna see soon what it makes when I reroute the wastegate to this fitting at the intake manifold. Hopefully it'll make 28psi, that would be a decent HP increase probably.

You want BIG Boost Plug the air line between turbo ad intake o no pressure is applied to the waste gate, eaning do not bypass at all. Of course do that at your own risk as it will way better and most likely develop problems, but it will be fun for a while. THINK 1st

On paper that will give you 37.5 hp,
When you say 25psi where is that pressure taken?
