If you are in the market for either a MP-8, Aero Muffler or the AFE filter make sure you do a thorough web search for the best competitive prices available.

I haven't taken our coach on the open road since installing the programmer and the muffler just drove it from the repair shop around town and home. I didn't notice any difference in engine temp. It sure is more enjoyable to drive instead of feeling like you're behind the wheel of one of those lathargic city buses.

Do a web search for 70-10102 AFE and see who has the best price. Also make sure to double check the part number.
RVer98 is the AFE 70-10102 exclusive to the Cat engine or to the chassis manufacturer?

This should be the replacement filter for the Freightliner Chassis (ie. Cat & Cummins). Please check and verify prior to submitting an order. I don't want to miss lead anyone.

So it appears I ordered the wrong MP-8 for my CAT. CAT told me my engine was manufactured in July 2005 so I assumed it was an 2005 model. Yep you guessed it, I was wrong. Sent it back so might be a few weeks before the right one arrives.

Sandcar...The MP-8 part number for 98-05 Cat C7's is #2110202 and for 06-07 Cat C7's is #2110203. Which part number did they send you?

I got the 0202 one 1st but now they are sending the 0203. I am blaming CAT because before I ordered the MP-8 I called them with my serial number and he told me it was built July 2005. I said to the CAT rep so does that make it a 2005 model or 2006 because it is in a 2006 coach. He replied again "it was built in July 2005". He had a attitude so I must have been calling him on his lunch break.

I called the tech at TS Performance that makes the MP-8 and he explained to me that the 06-07 has rectangle plugs and the 98-05 has triangle plugs. I have the rectangle plugs.

I hope he is right.

Sandcar...My motorhome was built in July 05 also and I have the triangle plugs, although when I went to install the MP-8 I had to follow the 06-07 instructions to find where my connections were
Anyways the MP-8 works find. Don't forget to use dielectric grease on the connections as the instructions state.

I think I've found the part # for the AFE performance filter for my particular application AFE 70-10022.

I have done all three mods in my c7 330hp and hands down it is a must on those engines it makes a world of a difference and the engine temperature did not change at all. And I must had that I got the best prices from Brazel's and when I had any questions they were there to answera any question I ever had hands down on that one too. Brazel's all the way. Joe
