Alright guys I just purchased my new DP ( at least to me ) its a 2002 39' tradewinds with the 3126 330 cat in it..
my question is which performance chip do you guys like the best, for performance and MPG.. I will also be adding the 5050xl exhaust. I am familiar with the edge chip because i have it installed on my ford 6.0 and it really does well, although i have learned to keep the HP down to the economy setting as not to harm the motor. Please if you guys have any preference let me know. I noticed alot of people are running the mp-8, just curious if anyone has ran the other two

Here is a link to a seven page thread that should answer most if not all of your questions. Brazel's C-7 upgrades

thanks maverick, I did read that post before i wrote mine.... it describes how well it works on the newer C7 motor not so much on my 3126E. I know that the C7 has more emissions stuff than my motor and was curious if anyone has put a chip on the 3126E with great results also..and if anyone has used the bully dog or edge chip, although it sounds like the MP-8 is the way to go...... can't wait i leave at 0530 tomorrow morning headed for phoenix to pick up my new baby !!!!!

Just a bit of advice that isn't in the instruction manual. Turn off battery power before you disconnect the plugs and install the mp-8. Then when installed you can turn the power back on.

The MP-8 is the seems to be the most popular with the CAT engine. I have enjoyed my MP-8 for the extra hp and torque. Not much improvement as far as mpg.

I agree with rver98. Love the performance but I haven't seen any improvement in mpg.

I sure wish I would have used spell check prior to writing my reply. Oh well next time.
