Then made a steel bracket to hold the water bottle bracket.....and put it all together....and bolted it to the frame.

I bent the bracket back so that the mud flap won't hit it.....and its tucked up out of the way.

What do you think ?

I looked at your picture and decided to do the same. I am rather done with oil on the toad. Hope it works. We will test it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the suggestion and creativity.

Works Great!!! No more oil on the Toad.

I used to get oil on my toad. After I calibrated my dipstick and put 5 quarts less oil in the engine I no longer get oil on the toad. Improper lenght dipsticks is a well know issue with Cat RV engines. I have a 1" hose on the end of the slobber tube that ends under the hitch cross tube that Cat tech support told me was installed when new by Freightliner. They just didn't get the dipstick length right.

Any suggestions?
The new Cat mist cannister is on and its works well. No visible fumes coming from the breather and cannister. I think it is way over priced, but if it helps keep the radiator and charge air cooler clean I will be happy.

Donny,

I'm curious. What does the Cat canister do that the hose exiting behind the radiator/CAC doesn't do?

Freightliner and Cat said the hose was to keep fumes out of them and where it exit below and behind the trailer hitch cross tube it seems to do that. What would I expect to improve if I switched from the hose to the canister? Since I calibrated my dipstick I no longer get oil on my toad.

Jim
