I have a 3126E with the grease fitting on the hub...I'm wondering since it is pretty much the same motor as the C-7 if the hubs are interchangable...Maybe a call to Cat to find out...

If I remember right certain models of the 3126 did not have a zerk on the hub either. I do not think the engine in my 03 Horizon had it...Good Luck

CAT C7 Fan Bering Failure

Has anyone taken the time or should I say have had any luck in talking to CAT about this?

Cat will undoubtedly take care of the fan hub bearing failure if it happens during the engine warranty period but after that I would imagine a person would be on their own. Don't know if Brett Wolfe has ever gotten involved in this discussion with Cat.

You got wrong info....The hub and bearing are Cat parts....Everything after the hub is a Freightliner part (fan..radiator...belts, etc...)

I'm traveling and do not have the paperwork with me but the bearing failure on my unit was about 31000 miles.
