I'm curious...

What is the redline rpm on a C9?

Is this rpm controlled by a governor?

If yes, will the governor limit the maximum rpm when descending a long mountain pass using the pac brake?

Can you over-rev if you don't use the air brakes in addition to the pac brake?

The engine governor will decrease the amount of fuel the engine is getting when going down hill. But after it has shut the fuel down there is not much more it can do. If the weight of the motohome and the grade you are going down exceeds your braking you will overspeed your engine.

Not exactly true. If it starts to overspeed on the down hill, the ECM will upshift the transmission to reduce rpm. If you are in 5th or 6th gear and overspeed, your done for already!!
