I have an '06 Discovery 39s. Will be changing the oil and filter in the next couple of weeks. Does anyone happen to know the Cat part number for the oil filter? Also, if you have any recommendations on internet sites to purchase the filter that would be great.

I currently have 20,000 miles on my coach and am running Rotella standard oil. Does anyone have any comments about switching to a synthetic oil? Your input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

You can pick up a NAPA Gold filter, 1791, for about $16.

I prefer AMSOIL synthetic in all of my vehicles, but you'll get many varied opinions on any forum. IMO, 15W40 synthetic flows much better at cooler temperatures and provides better protection.
