Here's my gripe about the pacbrake and its lube. Unless the design has changed in recent years (and it may well have) when you take the actual exhaust unit apart, the shaft that holds the flapper valve naturally has the controller attached on one end, but the other fits into a blind hole in the exhaust fitting. There is just no good way to lube that point. If the unit sits for an extended period, especially in a damp environment, the shaft can actually freeze in place. I've pulled 3 or 4 of the things apart and once that shaft end freezes, its almost impossible to get it operating properly again. I've even tapped a hole so you can get lube onto the shaft. It works for a while at best.
I think the moral at least from my limited experience is that you have to use the darn thing on a regular basis to prevent that shaft from getting too rusty and freezing in place.

Good point on the Pacbrake freezing up. I had to pull my valve, strip it down and toss it into the wood stove. When it gets just about cherry red you pull it out and work it free.

Someone asked earlier who carried the PacBrake Lube. Besides eBay, I found the equivalent ( Super Lube 51004 Synthetic Oil with PTFE, High Viscosity, 4 oz Bottle) on Amazon for $4.98 + shipping, on HomeDepot.com online for $6.91 (free shipping for pick up in store) and on HomeDepot.ca online for CA$7.99. Hope this helps.

Here's a picture of the C7 in my coach. The Exhaust Brake is on the right hand side of the picture, with the silver actuating cylinder with blue lettering on it, just in front of the turbo and the big blue hose.

Thank you. I was thinking that I might have to go through the bed and now I know.

Chris,
Just wondering, since my memories just trash anymore, I see what appears to the a small, possibly newer little bracket, standing off of the engine, in the upper left corner, with what might appear to be a fuel line attached to the underside, where a possible second fuel filter and hand pump might be. #1, did you have one there and, #2, if so, did you relocate it to another, easier-serviceable area (possibly next to the other one, in front of the radiator?

Yes, Scott, that's where my secondary fuel filter used to be: Relocated Fuel Filter & Added Priming Pump

Exactly what I did. As for access, on my coach I can gain access to the via the house battery compartment.
