I have 2009 MH with a 08 C9 Cat. Only one problem with the engine and it is the emissions system. I've had a check engine light 3 times and each time it was it failed to go into regeneration. There is no manual regeneration feature with most C9 motorhomes as I understand which means you must take it in to a Cat dealer to do a forced regeneration. Cat does not pay for this! The last time in they changed the ARD head out under warranty due to regeneration issues. Hopefully this will help my problem. The engine runs great and has ample power for my 42 foot MH. The regeneration issue is very common for Cats according to my Cat repair shop.

Thanks Guys, the owner of the coach claims that it was an early 2008 motor before the emmissions went into effect. Do you have any knowledge about that.

Pull the rear engine cover and look at the data plate on the valve cover, it will have the build date. Also, the exhaust will have a large bulge in the pipe just after the turbo with several sensors and lines attached.

I believe it started in the 2007 engine. I have a 2006 engine with no regen. As stated above get the serial number and call cat. they will tell you everything about that engine it could be worth you time$$$$$$$$.
