Closed crank case vent system conversion kit for C-7
Gents,
Many of you followed my little thread on my MacGuyver idea on slowing down or possibly stopping (doubtful) the blow-by mist that exits from the slobber tube on our '04 Itasca Horizon, C-7 equipped rig. Well, I've not got a chance to get out on a long run to test my theory. It's on the list, the test that is. Anyway, in my efforts to learn more about the C-7, I came upon an article or, a paragraph that was talking about a closed crank case conversion kit that's sold by the local either CAT or Freightliner dealer.
Since then, I've not been able to go back and find that little article or short writeup on it. I think, there was even a part number for it for when you call your local CAT dealer. But, since the brain is like anything else on this body, USELESS, I can't remember where I'd seen it, the article that is.
Many people talk about the slobber tube and or blow-by tube on these motors and the effects of their deposits on radiators, cars, etc. But, no one's mentioned anything about one of these conversion kits. First off, anyone got one? Second, if so, how's it work and has it alleviated the mist etc. from the tube? Thanks
Scott
