You'll see it all in the pictures below. The first ones will be as I found it when doing some repair/maintenance on my basement A/C and it was out of the coach which, presented a prime opportunity to maintenance that starter relay system which, needed it badly as you'll see. The last couple of pics show it all cleaned up with new relays, 100 Amp fuse assembly, new solenoids etc.

Without that basement A/C removed, it would have been impossible to do any kind of quality work on that system. But, again, I'm not sure this area has anything to do with his running/not running problem.

I have the Monaco/O5 Safari Cheeta. Had to replace starting batt. now the engine won't crank. Does anyone have info. as to where this starter/relay/or solenoid may be located?

Hello SPINN....I noticed you had asked this question to Kkquilter....wondering why??? the reason being is that I'm having similar problems...if the engine stalls briefly, the check engine light only comes on...if the stall is a little longer, the Check Transmission light also comes on...Even though I'm fairly confident this won't harm the coach, i hate operating it at all when doing this...It will also do it while idling, but it usually just shuts off....I,m on a "search and explore" mission right now and just reading a nd looking for a fix.Any comment would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BTW, they had another coach (within the last 2 days) which had same problem I had a few months ago, it got so bad that when it shut down after several times, it would not start up again. So, I had a tow. But this Cat dealer jiggled the ignition switch on this other coach
(out on the road) and got it to start up.
So they replaced the ignition switch, and on they went.

Thanks for all your input and following along!
I know that this is an OLD thread, but.... I have a 2014 Tiffin on a FL chassis.

This spring, I was driving on the interstate and had the exact same symptom: all power was gone, engine quit, no power steering, all kinds of errors on the dash display, had to coast to a stop. Lucky there was an exit coming up and I was able to get off at the exit, but coasted to a stop on the exit. I first called Coach Net, but then called 800-Freightliner. Determined that the ignition switch wiring harness was loose and killing everything, as if the key had been switched off. Freightliner guy stated this happens now and again - suggested that I push it back in and wrap with electrical tape or duct tape. Pushed the harness back in and all was back to normal.

Now, checking for tightness on that harness is part of my departure checklist......

Regards.

Chuck
