Loud 'Ticking' when AC is on

Cat 3126B with 96k miles. Right after an oil change (likely unrelated) there is a significant 'Ticking' at the engine when the AC is switched on. There are no fault codes, temps and pressures are consistent and within specs.

The AC functions and cools as before, the serpentine belt tensioner is new and an inspection on the secondary belt 'V' belt (water pump) shows it is pretty loose. Both belts are less than 2k miles since changed.

The noise is almost like a fan blade tapping or a loud loose rattle. It is consistent in pitch and there is no bearing noise. I have attached a recording of the noise- it begins normally and at 8 seconds the AC is switched on, the noise can be heard, the AC is switched off at 23 seconds and returns to normal. Well, I guess audio won't attach.

Not much to work with but before tearing into too much I thought I would ask. Thanks

First thing I would do , is to remove the serpentine belt and check for a small rock in one of the 7 groves, on the belt and in all the pulleys. It could be that when the extra load of turning the compressor on, the debris in the grove starts making the sound . While the serpentine belt is off , do the water pump belt adjustment.
