New owner
New owner with 2008 43’ CC, 425 C9 and CX28 Cat transmission.
Love it so far, my boat has 2 stroke Detroit’s so this is quite a change. I’m able to tow my Denali up mountains barley slowing and the temp gauge doesn’t move.
I read a lot of horror stories here but Cat says the service life is 750,000 miles in a #60,000 truck.
I asked my dealer about the transmission and they said it’s used in all the Bradley Fighting vehicles and bulletproof.
I’m going to ignore all the gossip and go cruising.

Glad you are happy with it. I would expect a 425 C9 to be a little small for a 43 foot CC, guessing it tips in at around 42,000 lbs.
Caterpillar made an excellent over the road engine, but out west where we cross several mountain ranges every trip I'm glad to have a C13 pushing out 1,600 ft-lbs. Of course, it does like its diesel.

My Aladdin system is reporting an average of 5.6 mpg. That is based on previous owner who was towing a jeep.
I have not owned/driven this coach long enough to reflect my own driving style and that I will be "carrying" a motorcycle rather than towing a car.

You won’t get much better than that. I have a 2005 safari panther With the sea 13 and I get 5.4 average no matter what I do. The engine has a lot of power so I’m happy with it.

I'm getting low 6's, used to get low 7's but let a Cat shop do an update to the software and the mileage went to hell.
May get a custom tune this summer.
