Cat motors are the best, I have one in my Beaver so I sure hope they are good motors. all depends on how they have been taken care of . Cummins or Caterpillar will last the average RV'er a lifetime if properly cared for

My new to me 2000 dutch star has a 330 Cat. valve cover says 3126, Cat owners manual says C7 ? 66000 mi. I heard it's just getting broken in. 28deg. morning fires right up after wait light goes out. My old 454 gasser had to crank 20 sec. pumping accelerator. And they call the 454 a" torquer", Ha .

Cat built the C7 to meet the 2004 EPA requirements. They were building it some time in '03 but it certainly would not have been in a 2000 model coach. The 3126 is basically the same engine without the Acert fuel system and related electronics.
