Oil Pan Drain Location and size

I am hoping someone can help. My unit is 2500 miles away and I am wanting to buy a Femco Drain Valve. The distributor/Mfr. tells me the C7 oil pan use 2 different drain plugs. If the drain is on the bottom of the pan it is a Metric18x1.5mm plug. If the drain is on the side ( like in the thread on rusty pans) it uses a regular 3/4" plug. On our 05 C7 which will it be? I am thinking that all of them use the Metric plug. Thanks.

I have yet to change my oil and although I have a cat, I am an hour away from it for several days. Someone will chime in soon.

If you have your CAT serial number call the CAT hotline. Either way, since you have a C7, they should be able to help you

On my 2005 350 C7 the oil pan drain plug is on the side. Not sure of the thread size though
