Question...: 1991 Cat 3176... wet cylinder liners?

I'm trying to figure out what type of coolant to use for this engine. Is this a parent bore engine? - it does not use wet cylinder liners?

The 3176 is a wet sleeved engine. Follow the Cat recommendation for coolant service to get the maximum life out of the engine. One tip, NEVER add tap water of any kind to the cooling system. Always use 'pre-mixed' coolant. The water used in pre-mixed coolant is treated and filtered. Tap water or even distilled can cause problems in the cooling systems of the newer engines.
