Will it clear codes as well as read them? We can all retrieve codes and look up what they mean. But clearing them I can't do. If the scangauged will do it, I'm up for one.

Yes it will clear the codes and they stand behind their product if you have trouble.

When I had a code recently all it took was a call to scanguage and she told me the reason for the code. I had tried searching around the internet but was not successful in finding the code. Maybe some one here has a list of codes or a good source of finding the code information.

I've just gotten got one and am really trying to learn how to use it. I am running with RPM,MPH,volts and currently MPG.( kinda like the old vacumn gauges) I'm still trying to find turbo temp or just engine temp as I am having a low power and heating on long climbs. I'm runing at 26K# and towing 3600#.

OK. I received mine, and plug it into the port, ignition on......nothing on the screen. They were kind enough to send me a replacement.....and nothing as well. So I think it is on my end. Where do I start here?

Are you using a 6 pin or 9 pin connector?
If it does not light up sounds like no 12 volts or ground

If you do not have anything check at the engine and see if the cable is hard wired
or just plugs into another 6 pin J 1708 plug and someone unplugged it.

Great ideas! I will check. Is there a general area to look for the connector back at the engine?

If your towing your liberty, are you sure it weighs 3600#? Ive a 2006 liberty and I believe its closer to 4000#and the 2011 models sure look bigger.

At the rear of the engine facing the front it will be on the left side of the block near the rear, you might have to look around for it but it is there.
