Serpinetine belt size on 3126

I need to know the serpinetine belt size on my CAT 3126. I got the other belt from CAT and they said to match the other one at O'reilly? I have a Lazy Days here in Tucson but they are not sure either.

I just replaced my v belt as well. You need to remove the serpentine belt to replace the v belt so maybe you can take it off and bring it into the store. It comes off easy enough.

The Freightliner shop in Tucson is where I got my belt

I don't know if this helps but I replaced mine with Napa belts.

The serpentine belt on my 2004 is a Napa 25-080710

The water pump belt is a Napa 25-9341

I used Alliance belts when I did the change on my 2001 Journey with the Cat 3126B

V Belt GT17342E 34 3/8 inchs
Serpentine Belt GT4080710DF 71 5/8 inches

Belts were from my local Freightliner truck store. Made in the USA.

Hope this helps.

Cat. did not supply the alternator on the engine, the chassis maker put it on when they installed the engine. Thats why Cat is not sure of the size. Easiest way for an exact fit is to remove the belt for measurement . Keep the old belt in the new belt sleave, for next time .

Skip, just what I did.

old belt had a few cracks across the inside, with that side radiator, just deload the idler & pop it off, take it to NAPA,pop on the new one & stick the old 1 in the sleeve, spare bin.

I agree with the idea of cost saving and using the removed belt but if I am going to carry a spare belt I'm carrying a new one in a vacuum sealed bag. Actually, that's what I do. If I have to do a replacement out on the highway somewhere it's a new belt, not the somewhat worn one that will need replacement. That's just me - I did it your way when I was much younger and real tight for $$.

Just had mine replaced on the side of the road. It's 71.37" long. Freightliner part number 01-24730-004 or Dayco # 20-7620.
