turbo waste gate control

Well I went to lube my turbo waste gate actuation lever using high temp exhaust brake oil as proposed on another post. I lubed the small lever and pin that go to the turbo waste gate from the "can" that controls the actuation lever via air pressure. In doing some follow up on that control I found that the air line to the "can" had two splits in the hose in a location where it was impossible to see, but I could feel the split as I tried to trace the hose routing. This small silicone blue pressure hose had two significant splits in the hose and clearly was leaking significantly. Now I am anxious to try the rig out with the new repair. On my last two trips I have gotten check engine lights with codes boost pressure not responding and boost pressure erratic.
Another problem solved thanks to members of this forum. Thanks for the advice guys. Jim ----Bandon Oregon
Recommendation to check that hose if your rig indicates such a problem.

Thanks for your post.
Yesterday I started doing some Pm on my MH. Know I have A few more things to check out. One thing I would like to add if you change your belts check all the things that the belt turns. I found the alternator bearings in need of replacing.

waste gate hose replacement

After replacing the waste gate control air hose, the MH is back running tip top. No error messages, no check engine light, and boost back to where it should be. It appears to me that with this silicone air hose so near the high temp exhaust manifold and turbo charger it is something we all should be keeping an eye on for cracking and wear. They are a bit hard to see and inspect but well worth it to assure good boost control.
