What is this hose?

Anyone have any idea where this hose goes? I can't find it from the side or bottom of the engine. If no one knows I'll get someone on topside to help me trace it down.
It tap off the 4 in tubing between the CAC and engine intake.Click image for larger version

It could be the air supply for the compressor.

What make of coach is this because I have a C9 and the top of my valve cover is open, nothing there. Looks like they will need to remove that to do adjust the valves

The question for me is what is it plumbed into? My understand is that when the governor kicks off at 120 psi, it directs the excess air into the intake. Could that be what it is?

I have an '05 Beaver, C-9, I haven't noticed that hose, but I wasn't looking for it either. When ever they plumb the air compressor it into the manifold, not a hose? The next time I'm in it, I will look, you have piqued my interest.

Looking at the OP picture again if it’s the Compressor air intake some sort of modification was done on the intake side of that Cat. Normally the configuration for the C9 compressor air intake is; engine intake manifold to inlet check valve to compressor inlet port. A real head scratcher...in any case I hope the OP tracks where that hose terminates and reports back.

Ok, was finally able to get under there and trace it out and jaminsamin was right it is the air intake for the air compressor. The hose attaches to the check valve at the bottom of the engine. Thanks for the replies i never would've thought about it being the air intake for the compressor.
