"What" no fan zirk

Well guys I have been looking and looking and feeling and i still can't find the zirk fitting. Is it possible they exchanged my hub for the non zirk ??? here is a pic

My 2004 CAT 330 does NOT have a zerk for the fan bearing.

yes but my serial number CKM32797 is supposed to have it and i can't find it... I'm hoping they replaced it

Your picture only shows one side of the fan.
Maybe it's on the other side.

Your engine serial number should have a fitting. The zirk was deleted starting on engine serial number HEP 15358. The HEP series was after the CKM series. The zirk is on the top of the casting.

As I understand it, you can't see it, must find it by feel. We no longer have a CAT 3126 so I can't verify that.

My 02 Journey 330 Cat had one on top of the housing facing straight up access was from inside the coach.

Your picture sure does seem to show the top most bolt has backed out a far as the pulley will allow it to go. Best attend to that, then worry about a Zerk fitting.

Wow AZgl I notice it now, thanks.... i will get on it right away... as for the zirk i should be able to see it in the pic right??? should be on the flat area between block and pulley

thanks AZgl, I got the bolt tightened back up... maybe thats why i don't have a zirk... maybe they switched it out with the grease less one. and the just forgot to tighten the bolts :-)
