What to do while in shop?

I will be putting my MH in the shop soon for what i believe may be a HEUI issue. While they are in it, what should I have them take a peek at or change as PM.

We have only owned it for 2 years and 6k miles, but no previous history so taking it as everything is probably original. We have only performed annual oil/filter changes since purchasing.

Make sure they follow Cats recommendations for troubleshooting. Will save you a lot of time and money. Not every Heui failure requires injector replacement. Caterpillar special instruction 3819 gives the easiest way to troubleshoot. Safe Travels and good luck. Oh let us know what they find.

A couple of years ago we had problems with the HEUI. Ended up replacing the pump but found no metal in the fuel rail and injectors were fine. Still cost us over $2000. But running fine. (Fingers crossed).

Yes all the above, one other thing is if you have a regular fan and not a hyd (which I think you have a hyd fan) is the fan bearing. Good luck Safe Travels.

Do a valve adjustment. I believe it was required at 10,000 mile then again at something over 100,000 miles. You may not be due now but couldn't hurt.
