Has anyone changed out both filters and drained the sump? I am haveing problems figuring out how much fluid to buy. I have the 2 inch sump and in my book it shows 12 quarts to refill. On the allison web site I found a sheet that shows 17 quarts to refill. Help!!

I always purchased 5 gallons and as I remember mine is a 4" sump, which as the book says, it requires an additional 3 qts of fluid. And it always took that much to read Full on the dip stick, whether when read cold or up to the Hot Full mark after being driven some distance.

wagonmaster2 thanks for the reply. I found a post on another forum that says 16 quarts. Your experience with what would be 20 quartrs minus 3 for me gets me into the 16/17 quart range. Looks like I will need to buy 5 gal and just save what I don't use.
