Allison says a 4000 takes 31 qt at a change with both filters. If it has a 2" pan.
39 qt with a 4" pan.

Yes, it will take between 9-10 gal. I put 9 gal in and then get it up to temp & check level with the touch pad. Finish up with which what ever pad says. Check level next drive or two every time you park. Be sure to level before check.
