Elf,
Glad you're interested. I can't seem to get anyone interested in the idea of using an inexpensive Bluetooth scanner module (~$12-$75) on the OBDII plug and then linking it to an android device such as a cell phone or tablet. This is certainly an inexpensive way to get OBDII data. My real interest is getting Allison transmission temperature when I'm going up a steep grade such as I did a few weeks ago and got a high temperature high from my Allison transmission. There must be a way to get the alarm and temperature reading out of the transmission. Scangauge2 is suppose to be able to get this information. So the a Bluetooth scanner should be able to do it. However it don't know the coding or procedures for doing it via the Bluetooth scanner. Any help would certainly be appreciated.
