We have a Allison 1000 in our Winny and would like to add a temp gauge. I contacted CW and they indicated it could not be done. Does any one have an idea?

I like my sc2 very much. i use the allison temp gauge (tft) all the time. if you buy it from oemy on this forum, it will be delivered to you pre-programmed for your vehicle. otherwise you will have a bunch of ''programming'' to do, all the x gauge stuff.

Do you just want to install a sensor and a gauge? If so, you will need to install a tee on the outlet of the tranny onto the hose going to the cooler. Not the hose from the cooler to the tranny. Then just run the wire up to the dash and mount a new gauge. I recommend you do this at the time you change your oil.

Took me about a hour to do mine.

Good info. I just programmed the Allison TFT code into the scan gauge. It looks to be about right at first glance. I'll take it for a drive later and see how it looks.

welcome to irv2!
do you have a 5sp or 6sp ally 1000? tft will not work with the 6sp yet.
oemy has been working with linera logic to correct this problem for some time.
you can update your ''signature'' info to include more info about your rv.

djay,
I looked at the oemy site to get a visual of where the codes went and got the codes from the scan gauge site under the support tab. The support page showed parentheses around the 01 at the end of the first code line. I wasnt sure if the 01 should be included or not. Looking at the oemy pictures cleared it up. Between the two sites and double checking that you are using the right codes on the right lines is all I did.

Elf, Checked codes twice I can now get TFT to come up but has no temp. reading. Did you think the numbers in parenthesis needs to be entered ? Thanks for your help.

Yes, I did include the numbers in parentheses. Obviously without parentheses.
