Allison 6 Speed

I have a 2007 Fleetwood Providence with 53,000 miles.
Lately, when I start out the transmission seems to be hunting between 2nd and 3rd gear.
Any ideas???

Allison 6 Speed

If you don’t know then that it the first place to start. Be sure to use Transynd or similarly rated fluid. Dona search for Allison. There’s a former Allison Engineer here that is an expert and also has a fluid analysis business.

Ask to have your question/post moved to the Allison transmission forum so the Allison fluids engineer may see it and respond.

I believe you are talking about Tom Johnson, who is the owner and a supporter of this forum. He is a really good person to talk to about fluid change frequency and analysis. You'll find him very helpful. Here is his website.

Just call him 1-877-971-7799. If he's not there, leave a message and he will call you back.
