The transmission display in my '94 Monaco (Allison MD3060) would be blank or flash N N and then go blank when I turned on the ignition when the temp was cold..
Attached is a pdf document showing the repairs I performed.
Note that this is not the easiest task for the true newby at soldering.
Good luck!

Well did it fix the problem????? I read the .pdf, great job.

Do you know how to read the fault codes by pushing both the upshift and downshift arrows at the same time with the ignition on? If not then if you want to read the fluid level do it with the engine running in neutral with the tranny fluid above 140 degrees. It will first give you the fluid level. Zero means you are OK, if low it will read the quarts low as 1, 2 or 3. Then after reading the fluid level it will read any fault codes.

Hello Mike, I believe it has fixed the problem. It has warmed up here so I could not depend on cold weather to help confirm this so I put the ECU in a zip lock bag, stuck in the fridge for 4 hours, took it out and quickly hooked it and it worked like it was suppose to allowing me to start the coach and shift into F and R ok. I guess I won't know for absolute sure until next winter unless we get another cold snap or I might go ahead and put it the freezer and try it again. I will try out your fluid level and fault codes display and see what I get. Thanks for the info.
