Allison fluid change

I have several Allison authorized maintenance facilities in my area. The closest uses a fluid exchange pump. Another does the drain. Allison recommends not to use the pump. However, an authorized dealer does just that. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I would drain to get it all, the only way I would use a pump is in a boat since you can't drain oil in the bilge.

No brainer. Do what Allison recommends, as they are the manufacturer of the transmission.

They recommend draining, not pumping or flushing.

Thanks for the input. I will stick with the draining.

Drain it and refill it. Never let anyone use a flushing machine.
