I have a MH2000 behind a Cummins ISB 5.9 engine and the trans check light is on. I have checked the fluid and the level is OK. I do not know what else to check. Can changing the fluid and filter clear this up? Stuck in Branson, MO until I get this straight.

Your model transmission requires a Diagnostic code reader to find out what the trouble code is. You need to see if there is anyone in the area that can come out and read it. On a 2004 model I doubt that the filter or fluid will cause the problem but ya never know. See page 69 below

Update, I am still in Branson, MO and have almost got my end=gine AC rebuilt. That should be finished tomorrow, new compressor and new dryer plus refill. The Check Trans light is still on and I took it to Branson Motorcoach today and the light was lite when I arrived. The transmission will not shift into 5th gear and it does not respond to manual buttons. They could find no codes in the transmission code reader. They do not know what is wrong and asked me to bring it back if it was still on tomorrow and leave it running and they will try and tell me what is wrong. Any ideas would be appreciated. i read through the manual Gunner sent me and there are no hints other than if the light is on it will not shift. I know that part already.

One thing to always try on anything that is computer controlled is to disconnect the negative battery cable on your chassis battery and leave disconnected for around 10-15 minutes and hook it up and try again.
