I checked my Allison 4060 fluid level and it was low, just above the "low" mark on the dip stick......where can one find this fluid ? I live in Springdale Arkansas....any suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, how many quarts would I need ?

If there is a label stating that it has transynd in it, Napa, cummins, allison and some chevy dealers carry it, if it is not labeled transynd then any auto parts store will be able to help you.

Try checking it with the keypad before adding fluid. MUCH more accurate per Allison.

This is an Allison distributor and they will stock TranSynd.

Try a gallon or two. That should do it.

I agree with TWOMED. Drive it so it is at operating temp then park it on a level spot or level it with the motor running and in neutral then let it settle so the fluid drains back into the sump then push both the UP and DOWN keys on the Allison control pad at the same time. It will tell you exactly what level is in the tranny.

oL means it is in fluid check mode
Lo02 means it is two quarts low
Hi02 means it is two quarts high
LoK means it is good.
