A few months ago a friend told me WD-40 works well to clean up corroded aluminum. His context was for alternators. When I travel south in the winter I have to travel thru some pretty crappy weather and the trans was looking pretty bad. I washed it down with cleaner to get the dirt off and then wiped it down with the WD-40 and what a difference. Just thought I would pass it along for those who don't know about it.

Are you talking about the transmission under the coach? I don't think my wife will get under there.

its designed for alum and will do very well at removing road gunk and grime, plus it provides a nice barrier

get the spray...

used it for over 12 years on aircraft of all sorts
