Drum Behind Transmission
what is the drum behind my 1000 series transmission?
I hear A noise that I think is coming from it every once in A while.

So if I here a noise from it every once in A while when driving what could it be? Is there any service for it?
Thanks Floyd

The only thing I can suggest is disassembly for a visual inspection.

I'm just curious to know why you think your noise is coming from the parking brake. How do you figure that? I mean, you're driving. You hear a noise. How do you come up with it being in the parking brake, rather than the transmission, or from a loose mount of some kind, or the engine or whatever.

Could you describe the noise? Does it have a beat to it?
Snare or bongo is my guess
Seriously have you put the engine in neutral and coasted or in various gears, throttle on or off to see if the noise you are hearing is affected by any of these ideas?

Have not done any of your ideas. The sound is kind of like A tire road noise. I know it's coming from the drum or the u joint there (which I really doubt) DW was driving & i put my ear down on the floor to make sure were the noise was coming from.

A U-Joint can rumble if it's going bad. I would crawl under the rig, visually inspect and check the U-Joint for wear, carrier bearing too if you have one in your driveline.
Good luck,
