Effect of DisconnectingABS/ATC ECU on Transmission Operationn

Set the stage: 3 weeks of coach in 2 different shops for engine problems. Shop says ABS ECU is bad causing transmission shifting problems so they disconnected it and I accepted it that way since we are 3000 miles from home on a trip. Shifted fine for about 300 miles. Today it was shifting quircky and my Scanguage D seemed to lose the TFT signal. Stopped at a stop sign and it felt like the transmission was still trying to shift! After a short time got my TFT (Trans Fluid Temp) back and shifting settled down. Is all this just because of ABS ECU being disconnected? (Shop installed a new wiring harness on engine) I AM going to replace the ABS ECU once I find one.

Find your ABS module and post your number others may be able to help find one. It will either be Bendix, or Meritor Wabco.
