Hoping to find Allison expert

I have a 1992 safari with a 8.3 cummins and a mt643 trans. I have motor and trans out because a rod went out the side of the block. now that its out seems to me finding a donor truck with a 8.3 mechanical and a 3060 Allison to gain overdrive could be worth the time. Any input welcome also my 643 has the parking brake on the tail and not sure if that can be done on the 3060

It can be done. There's been a few visitors here and on one other RV site I have communicated with that have removed ATs and MTs and replaced them with World Transmissions.

You'll have to get an MD with the parking brake rear cover, the TCM, throttle position sensor and all the harness wiring and interface connections done properly.
The driveline needs to be watched especially closely because with those top two gears in the MD being overdrives, you now increase your driveline speed considerably.
The Dana website www2.dana.com/expert has a torsional analysis program on it that will help you with the driveline configuration.

May have a donor 8.3 Allison,

Just squires a 1992 Monaco Dynasty that has been parked for last 10 years. Has 54k mis and needs roof and floor TLC, especially in bathroom.
Was.considering turning it into a one be mtn cabin, would just need to get the gen and water system going could sell off mechanicals
