MD3060 wiring diagram

Looking for a wiring diagram that relates to the pac brake. Only ones I have found have a foot or throttle switch in the system. Mine does not. Has a VIM module. Brake hasn't worked since we got the coach. 1996 American eagle/8.3c Cummings. Repaired the ground wire from the solenoid. Brake works if you direct wire it. Best I have been able to determine it is controlled directly from the tcm. Would like to ck all the wiring before taking it to the shop to get it scanned. Trans shifts fine and putting out no codes. Brake control switch also works and selects 4th gear when switched on.

Some of the wiring is Allison, at the transmission , most is from the chassis manufacturer , If you have a VIM , then I'll assume your chassis is Freightliner.
My F/L chassis has a relay outside of the VIM for pac brake interupt, and all the connectors to the Allison ECM are shown in the F/L wiring diagrams and schematics.
If your pac brake looks like it was original equipment to the coach , then the chassis manufacturer should be able to provide diagrams and schematics.
If F/L then a call to the free help line with you serial number should provide the info you're after.

I have another picture; somewhere; that shows the relay I'll try and dig it up.

Here's a picture of the engine compartment wiring and the Allison controller and VIM. The VIM circled in yellow the interrupt relay in red to show the proximity , I'm not sure of the relationship between the exhaust brake relay in the VIM; second photo; and the interrupt out side the VIM , but I'm sure both must operate properly to activate the exhaust brake .

One important tidbit that I forgot is that it is a Spartan chassis. Thanks for the reply but not sure it applies. Still will look for relays around the vim. Mine is up front under the dash.

Spartan Motor Home support .

1-800-543-4277 Have your serial number handy when you call.

I'll add that I'd forgotten your Allison control system would be WTEC II, and not the same as my WTEC III. Sorry.

Diagram is similar to ones that I have found. All seem to use a throttle switch. If mine has one it isn't to be found. Supposed to work off the tps signal. How it works for sure is where I am having the problem. Spartan/Allison/Fleetwood didn't have any answers. Guess it is time to start digging into it and figure it out. Thanks

I would naturally think that the brake has to have a throttle switch since you want the brake to turn off when the accelerator is depressed. It has to be there. Opinion of a non-expert.

Been everywhere I think a throttle or foot switch may be located. Nothing at the engine except the cruise and tps modules. Crawled under to look at the throttle cable(nothing). If there is something somewhere they did a good job hiding it. Should be a relay in The VIM module. Thats where I am going next.

Only relays marked in the vim is the neutral start and main power. Search turned up nothing as to what the rest are for. If anybody knows please let me know. Am going to start tracing the wire from the brake solenoid to the front to see where it goes.

Maybe this will help. Attaching PIX

On my schematic for the MH I identified wire numbers

Wire 114 Nuetral Sense
Wire 113 Reverse Warning
Wire 132 Exhaust Brake
Wire 112 Spare
Wire 123 Nuetral Start

These are Shown in the pix (5 shown in sch and 6 in pix)
From the pix if you pull relays you ohm to the pins shown very easy.
Good luck

Will help. Will be pulling the plug and tracing wires. cking as I go. Seems some have another relay in the system "somewhere". Be nice if the marked them as they did the newer ones. Wiring issues are always fun.

If you pull the relay then you can probably check lines without pulling the plug since each relay pin corresponds to a pin on one of the plugs.
