Part ID
I have been troubleshooting an electrical problem on my Allison transmission ECU and have run across a component the dealer cannot identify. A communications wire for the diagnostic connection runs through it and since the ProLink cannot communicate with my system, I am concerned that it might be part of my problem. I am attaching photos and sure hope someone can tell me what it is and what it does.

I would talk to Allison. Do you have a Allison dealer/shop near you? I would go show them the picture's.

I have shown it to techs at an authorized Allison dealership and none of them have a clue. If it had one, the cover was off when I bought the coach. It is even possibly a Holiday Rambler item - part of the vehicle interface? It is in the compartment under the drivers window.

From the picture all I see is 3 circuit breakers and 2 relays, nothing to do with communication

I would try to get a wiring diagram from Holiday Rambler. See if they have a help line.

While trying to find why ProLink could not communicate with my ECU, I found that there is a wire that runs through this module, from the ECU to the communications connector. I have not traced it through the circuit board of this module yet.

Probaly a power wire check the outputs of this module for power out. Looks like a single sided board, the solder joints tend to fatigue from age/vibration could be as simple as a fractured solder joint.
