I have a 2005 32' Dynaquest with a C7 an Allison 3000. Some of the time, about 50% it will make a loud clunk when engaging a forward gear from neutral. I haven't noticed this when going into reverse.

Whats wrong?

What is the mileage of the unit and has your driveline been lubed regularly? It could be slop in the U-joints, or it could just be wear in the gearset. If not U-joints it's probably natural wear catching up and a new noise to live with. Driveline slack will cause a clunk when power engages from nuetral.

It's low mileage, under 30K. The U Joints seem OK. Seems like if it was driveline slop it would do it in reverse also?
