While idling, I pushed the two arrows to check the fluid level. It said OL--TL, what does that mean, can't find it in the book. Thanks all.

I don't have my Allison book handy but I suspect it is "temperature low".

As I recall the fluid temperature must be at least 140F before the level will record.

Indeed OL = Oil Level, TL = Too Low, which if confirmed, with dip stick, means it is several quarts low. It should display: OL OK, meaning, OK. One mine if you hold the up and down arrows in for 10 seconds the trans display will read the oil level. THe trans needs to be warm, and in neutral. The display counts down from 10 and then displays the result. Check with the dipstick to confirm the level and, even if cold, check the level before you drive.

I can't use the two arrows to chech the trans oil level unless the outside temp is at least 70 degrees.
