Hello, has anyone had any good or bad experiences with using transynd or mobile delvac in other non-allison transmissions? I'm happy with the performance of transynd and would use it in my other vehicles (E4OD, CD4E, 4L60, etc) if it would work... Right now using regular Dexron III in the others...
Thanks,
Tim

I use Amsoil in my Allison. Transynd as Amsoil is a quality oil and is good to use on any service. Just all depends on money. Heck, I even use it in my hydraulic systems.
Boy will I get a lot of comments on this.

Switching to Mobile made a huge difference.

Tim,
TranSynd or the Delvac Synthetic ATF (and any other licensed TES-295 fluid) is OK for the GM 4L60 transmission. Unfortunately I'm not sure about the other ones. Friction coefficient (clutch characteristics would be the only in the non-GM transmissions. It would probably work OK but the shifts may feel more harsh or less harsh depending on the clutch materials they use. I don't have any data on the non-GM transmissions but I'm 100% sure on the GM 4L60. In fact, any GM transmission would be OK with the TES-295 licensed fluids (TranSynd, etc.).

I have the GM 4L85E and after switching to Mobile the shifting is much less harsh and the overall noise is much less. The Mobile fluid works for me! In a couple of weeks I'll have Mobile syn in my Dana 80 diff. Then I'll have Mobile Syn in all my motors and moving parts -- from the LawnMo to MoHo and everything in between.

Yep, you sure will, here's one:
Amsoil has NO TES295 fluids approved by Allison for use in their transmissions. They claim it was "designed to meet TES295" specs, but it's never been tested by Allison so it's not approved.

What other vehicles did you put it in, and was it the regular Mobil 1, or the Delvac?
