Question What does check transmission warning mean for 2500

we have a 2018 Wraith 32W with the Cummins diesel and the Allison 2500
6 speed transmission w/o exhaust brake.
We just passed 3000 miles , (no towing) and the yellow triangle turned on at the top of the warning gauge cluster and the written warning showed up
" check transmission"
I checked trans' fluid level , (not running) and it was at the top end of the cold section on the dip stick..
My closest Allison shop is 110 miles away in Las Vegas and the RV dealers here in Bullhead City "only work on the hotel part of the RVs"
I have read that some transmissions need a 5000 mile "first filter change"
could this be triggering these warnings already ??
The rig drives and shifts normally, what damages could be done ??
Thanks for any help....

Most transmissions need to be checked while they are hot and the engine running while parked in neutral with the brakes set.

I don't know if that is required for your coach though.

The Allison definitely has to be checked while the vehicle is running and at operating temperature. If your oil level is in the cold run band while the engine is not running, you are low on oil.
That may or may not be the cause of the warning light, but it definitely has to be fixed.

Update for all that helped me on my check transmission alarm light problem:
SHOUTOUT TO WW WILLIAMS IN LAS VEGAS- Authorized allison shop!!!
I drove Tug to Vegas 110 miles, had one code throw and decel to 50 mph from 65 mph.
turned off reset code from dash and made it to shop. plugged in code reader gave a code that means TCM short ( transmission control module ) by the way its behind the driver seat on a Wraith 32W...
outside harness tested good ( or International would have had to replace that, so tranny opened up and INTERNAL WIRING HARNESS FOUND TO BE SHORTING, SO REPLACED.
ROAD TEST and drive home all good!!! MPG before fix for 350 miles 9.3,,, MPG after fix 11.5 for 110 miles !!! no difference in grade ... pulls hills much smoother with final gears locking up better..
Of note they said the spin on filter does not need replaced anymore at 5000 miles...
