You have an Allison 3000. The 3060 was basically the same transmission and would use the same filters but Allison discontinued the use of the 3060 designation. The 60 was just to identify 6 speeds. If you don't already have Transynd in your transmission, now would be a good time to change over.

Do you have the long or short filters? One's 2" and ones 4".

I suggest you take your vin number to the Allison dealer and they'll run the number and tell you what filters you need. At least that worked for me. If I remember correctly the filter kit for mine with the 4 inch filters is about $55.

You don't need to go to a dealer, all that information can be acquired by phone. All you need is the serial number. Allison will give you the build date, ship date, size filter, exact model, etc.

hooverbill is correct: Get the Allison transmission serial number and when you go for the filters give them the number and they will give you the correct filters!

A 2006 will have Transynd synthetic in it. Both Freightliner and Spartan were using Transynd as the factory tranny fluid fill by then.

Actually the one for the 2" pan is about 4" and the 4" pan takes about a 6" filter.
