What should I be paying for a transmission service.

I have an 08 Holiday Rambler with an Allison 3000 6 speed transmission. As far as I can tell the last service was completed in May of 2011. I would like to get a full service done including new filters and Transynd fluid.
Can anyone tell me what I should expect this to cost?

Thank you for your time..... Brian.

1. 2 filter kit about $50.
2. Transynd about $35/gal.
3. One hour of labor at $120/hr.

Back in 2009, soon after I bought my coach, I called the closest Allison service center and they quoted me +$600 for a service.

I decided to do my own service, as Steve replied, Oil is ~$35/gal and the filters are ~$50.

Thanks everyone. Wow it looks like it may be expensive. No way I would pay $1000. For that price I better get an engine service and maybe throw in a generator service too.
I'll check around. I just wanted a ballpark figure so I would know if the shop was trying to take advantage of me.

Thanks again. Brian

If you have not done so, I would go to the Cummins-Onan website and see if their is one of their "Coach Care" centers relatively close. We use one here in the Kansas City metro and while somewhat pricey, they do good work. I'll look up my invoices and get back with you as we have had the mentioned services done there. If my memory is correct, ballpark figures, () regular engine maintenance-$400 +-, Trans fluid/filters service-$400 +-, reg gen service-$175, 1000hr gen service-$350-400 depending if the gen is on a slide out or has to be dropped out the bottom.

Thanks everyone. I found an Allison transmission shop about 35 miles away... I will call them and see what they charge for a service.

I had my transmission serviced last summer. Complete service and chassis lube was $410.
