Any Detroit/Allison dealer, or you might try a General Motors truck service center, since they use Transynd in some of their transmissions.

When did the AMSOL synthetic meet the TES-295 standards, as specified by Allison?
Per the following Allison site, the only APPROVED systhetic transmission fluids for their transmissions are as follows:
Allison Approved Synthetic Fluids
IMHO, until AMSOIL has its fluids tested to the same TES-295 standards, it cannot be claimed to be the equivelent.

Yesterday I called Allison. Their rep told me that the AMSIL synthetic does not fully meet the TES-295 standard.

As for the purchase of Transynd and after speaking with the Allison rep, I have decided to stay with the Dextron III for one more cycle.

Thanks to all.

if your transmission is still under the allison warranty and you wish to take advantage of the extended allison warranty by using transyd, by all means use transyd.
if you just wish to use the best transmission fluid available, use amsoil.
amsoil lubricants are not formulated to sell at a price point. they are formulated to be the best available for any application period.
if your transmission is out of warranty, check out the amsoil product warranty at amsoil.com or call amsoil customer service.
if these pictures post correctly, here is the front and rear label on the amsoil tes-295 container. the label clearly states that it is made to meet the tes-295 standards in writing, not what someone told someone else over the phone.

Transynd or other TES295 equivalents are available at Allison dealers, NAPA stores, etc. Never cheap but not hard to find.

But does the Amsoil TES-295 knock-off have the Allison Approved Logo, for use in Allison Transmissions?
Just because Amsoil printed it on their label, where is the proof that their product has been tested to TES-295 standards?
I would think that if it had been tested to the same standards as all the other Allison approved synthetics, then it would carry the Allison Approved Logo.
I once saw a Volkswagen Bug with a set of Caddie hubcaps, but that didn't make the Bug a Caddie.

At this point I wish I had not asked my question. However some folks provided the answers I was seeking, thank you.

It has strayed off topic and is now a discussion about Allison vs others.
Just about every comment has been said before through out this specific forum and elsewhere on IRV2 plus other sites.

So please start another discussion, but do some searching and reading before you do and save some time.
