exhaust brakes

Is anyone using an "exhaust brake" on their Duramax? If so what brand and how do you like it....or not?

yes it came with mh.we like it tranny shifts auto real helps slow down on exit ramps & hills.what kind is it i think it was from factory.5500 chasse.

Hello yes i installed a exhaust brake on my 2005 Duramax its a banks speed brake uses the var. vanes in your turbo to close to act as a engine exhaust brake all electronic easy to install I love it I haven;t replaced my brakes on my pickup since new I have 80,000 Miles on it & I pull a 35 foot Excel.

i would love to be able to use the speed brake, but my Duramax is 2004 (before the variable turbo vanes).So now i am looking at the Pac Brake. Trying to find someone who is using one with their Allison.

I wish... but no. I have the LB7. I even checked with Banks and verified against my vin #.
