2015 6.7 derated

I'm going across MT pulling my fifth wheel and my check engine light came on and a message came on the dash to reduce power. The engine derated. I pulled over and checked all the fluids, restarted and pulled off with full power, but the check engine was still on. I traveled about another 40-50 miles and it repeated again. I stopped for the night and now the check engine light is off.

Any ideas about what is going on?

When a check engine light comes on, you take it to a dealer and the codes will tell what has happened. AutoZone and Advance Autoparts can do a code scan for free, but may have limited equipment. I carry a scanner.

Almost assuredly emissions related. EGR sensors seem to be one of the culprits. We recently did a full delete on a 2012 F550, after repeated sensor failures. I think I will do the same as soon as my F250 is out of extended warranty. That's only a few miles away.
