Ford Torq-Shift Transmission

Howdy! Has anyone questioned the 150,000 mile service interval of the Torq-Shift Transmission? I have 65,000 miles on mine and I'm getting nervous. I've always serviced the transmissions at 30-50k. I'm thinking I'll service this one at 75k instead of waiting until 150k.

What do you think about not servicing it until 150k?

If Ford says that's fine, then I'd believe them....

Have had a few of their cars and had NO issues with trannies since a 2002 Excursion with the 7.3 and four speed...
the 8 or so since have been perfect...

My 2007 F53 service manual says service trans at 60,000 miles. What does your service manual say? Don't go by what someone told you.

My 2014 Ford Diesel Supplement book - Page 63, says 150,000 miles ... sounds ridiculous to me. Other forums have discussed this and most feel like this is crazy. Of course, tranny fluid & filter is cheap compared to rebuild/replace tranny.
While I will go on and service it now, I wanted to get other folks opinion on the subject.

I would service it sooner. I don't think anyone would fault you for doing that. And like you said "tranny fluid & filter are cheap compared to a rebuild".

Be sure you have a competent shop do the service--TS has to be at certain temp or fluid won't be circulating thruout the trans.

My Ford diesel supplement shows that my 5r110 needs a tranny flush and exterior filter change every 30k miles.
Hard to imagine Ford having such differences in ATF change intervals, but in 2008, they changed to a deeper pan with a finer filter to extend ATF interval changes.
Now on 2014's, if Ford recommends 150k, they I hope, know best. I think 75k isn't a bad idea, earlier and some peace of mind to boot.
