Hi, has anyone one used the Lucas injector cleaner in their V10? I use it in my passenger cars but I just want to make sure about the Ford truck motors.

For gas engines I always liked Techtron (Chevron product) as a cleaner. Once clean I like to use a fuel additive for lubricity.

Of course you realize this is a diesel thread, so you may not get a lot of answers.

No problem with the V-10 engine. Lots of great commercials, showing the before and after spray patterns, making it pretty convincing.

I have used the product in my Expy 5.4l engine but I'm not sure it really made a difference in either fuel economy or performance.

I still drive a city runaround Volvo 740 turbo with a factory add on Performance Plus pkg to enhance the hp up almost 30%. It required high test fuel and with 480,000 miles later, I think, running a better grade of fuel has led to its longevity.

Lots of debate here.
